So, Kyra is a clean, fresh, Sauvignon Blanc. This is one of the few wines, renegade add a yeast to the freshly pressed juice. Most of our wines use naturally present yeasts (think sourdough). With this wine, however, Renegade wanted a clean, crisp, innovative style of Sauvignon so we used a yeast developed in South Africa in collaboration with an Australian University.
It is a hard wine to place style wise. It is a little like a Sancerre, but with an element of South African/NZ Sauvignon added to the mix. Not crazy tropical, but not as subtle as many French styles.
